By Chris Nelson. August 15, 2022. The U.S. Military played a role in hunting down and arresting January 6 Demonstrators according to newly released arrest records. Captain Gabriel Garcia, an Iraq War Veteran who had his Miami home raided at 6am by a J6 Strike Team for the crime of going in the Capitol and calling Nancy Pelosi a traitor, released his arrest report yesterday. The report shows a commando unit of seven FBI Agents, a Secret Service Agent and a member of the US Army identified as “TFO Jason Phillips” participated in the raid.
“I have decided to share my arrest report that I just got this past week after months of asking for it,” said Garcia in a statement on Telegram. “Take a close look at what this task force that came to my house consists off. That is not a typo and yes Army. So now we have the military assigned to these task forces? The military arresting it's own citizens in U.S. soil.”
Deploying the Military against U.S. citizens this way violates the Posse Comitatus Act signed on June 18, 1878, by President Rutherford B. Hayes. The act limits the powers of the federal government in the use of federal military personnel to enforce domestic policies within the United States. Garcia served as an air defense artillery officer in the U.S. Army, Florida Army National Guard, and U.S. Army Reserve from Feb. 2002 to March 2017. He deployed once from Aug. 2009 to July 2010.
Garcia says he faces 27 years in prison for walking into the Capitol on January 6 and chanting “Our house!” and “USA!”. Watch the video here. Read Garcia’s indictment here.
