Bill Filed to REMOVE the ability of the State to Force Vaccinations

  • Last week, Anthony Sabatini filed HB 6009. This will REMOVE the ability of the State to Force Vaccinations in a public health emergency. Florida currently has a statute on the books from 2002 that states: "If the individual poses a danger to the public health, the State Health Officer may subject the individual to isolation or quarantine, if there is no practical method to isolate or quarantine the individual, the State Health Officer may use ANY MEANS NECESSARY to vaccinate or treat the individual." This bill will go to committee in October and we MUST make sure it succeeds. Sabatini filed this same bill last session but it was KILLED in committee by Republicans! The Republicans serving on this committee this session are going to know us very well! Here is a link to the text of the statute. As you can see the word "vaccinated" is crossed out. Sabatini's bill will remove that word from the statute. https://www.myfloridahouse.gov…sdetail.aspx?BillId=73065
